We’re calling it the Autumn 2018 marriage laws budget. Chancellor Philip Hammond, as part of supporting independent businesses, is proposing to shake up the outdated marriage laws.
Under a review of outdated marriage laws, UK couples could now be allowed to tie the knot outside in a wider choice of venues. This could include pub gardens and even hotel beaches. Currently the law for marrying outside states that to obtain a licence there must be some sort of specified area and a building with walls.
The upside is that for couples considering where to get married, this change in the marriage laws will open up a variety of wedding venues, that could be unusual, and less expensive, with more scope to have a less formal day.
A variety of new venues to get married, together with a wedding celebrant could truly make your day completely unique. We can’t wait!
