Wedding Venues Esher/Cobham
Esher is a suburban town in the Borough of Elmbridge. Towns nearby include Cobham, Hinchley Wood, Claygate, Oxshott, Walton on Thames, Weybridge and Hersham. It grew as a stagecoach stop on the London-Portsmouth road that was later developed as the A3 although it was bypassed in the mid-1970s. George Harrison of the Beatles had a house (called Kinfauns) in Esher, during the 1960s. Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees also owned a house called The Firs in Esher, during 1970's-2004 and sold after his death. Sandown Park Racecourse is in the centre of town near to its station (served by the Waterloo via Weybridge service)and the town itself is now mainly made up of commuters to London.
