Wedding FavoursWedding favours originated over four centuries ago in Italy. Known as Bomboniere they traditionally used to be 5 sugared almonds, representing health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. These were presented to the weddings guests as an appreciation for helping them celebrate their special day. Now more commonly known as wedding favours, this is a tradition that has been adopted at most weddings in the UK. Whilst some couples still opt for the traditional 5 almonds, or more commonly 5 chocolate dragees captured in a decorative box or organza bag, more and more couples are looking for the unusual gift, and something personal to them and their guests.
